We feel that many people in our community are concerned about what’s happening in the world. We believe that if we can get together, hold space, eat food and drink coffee, we can connect with each other, feel less nervous, get nourished and be able to find our voices and footing again. Our hope is that through pastries and coffee, we can create the space for people to talk and raise money for some important causes in the process.
Bake & Gather is a wonderful movement created by Zoe Nathan, our friend and chef from Huckleberry Cafe, with whom we partnered to co-host the very first event. We now plan to roll with it as far as we can go to help.
Charity has its greatest impact when it’s close to home. We're thrilled to be continuing the movement as we partner with other local bakers to commune with our neighborhoods, raising awareness and money for charities that protect equal rights for everyone. Our baristi come from all walks of life, but in this case we unite to be the same.
100% of the proceeds from sales at Bake & Gather events will be donated. Additionally, the day of each event we participate in, we will donate 10% of all our caffe sales to the same cause. We will leave a donation jar out in case you are interested to help us contribute something extra. We hope that these community events bring love, nourishment and important conversation to neighborhoods and remind us that we are truly #bettertogether.
