What is Una bella tazza?
Literally translated as “a beautiful cup” this is our promise to you and exactly what we constantly thrive to deliver. We are passionate about our coffee. Our caffè master hand-selects and blends our espresso and roasts in small batches to create a super-smooth velvety rich flavor.
Today, most multi-national coffee chains serve dark coffee with lots of milk to mask the burnt bitter taste. We believe this is primarily due to lack of attention to the finer details of the espresso preparation process. Our subtle signature roast requires a scientific level of precision. By controlling factors such as extraction rate, grind coarseness, and accounting for environmental factors such as humidity and temperature, our baristi (plural of barista) practice the geeky scientific methods required to coax a perfect espresso into every cup. Caffè espresso is a superior method for producing coffee due to its shorter brewing cycle which enables the sweetest flavors to be extracted while not allowing time for the unwelcome ones to develop. Essentially, the longer the brewing cycle, the more bitter and caffeinated the coffee becomes. Espresso ristretto (literally “restricted” shot) offers the best of the best. At Caffè Luxxe we always serve double ristretto shots to masterfully capture the sweetest, richest flavors of the espresso into each cup.
Your caffè espresso should have a rich honey-like texture topped off with a velvety, dark red-brown “crema.” This is the sign of una bella tazza di espresso – a beautiful cup of espresso. Your cappuccino and caffè latte will begin with our signature espresso, blended masterfully with just the right amount of steamed milk and presented artfully. Not only does creating beautiful expressions of foam art look pretty, but the silky, satiny chiffon texture enhances your taste enjoyment as well.
We encourage you to enjoy our espresso creations immediately after they are prepared especially for you in heated porcelain cups for the most inspiring, delicious espresso experience. By doing so, we bring the appreciation of caffè espresso back to its roots as a culinary art.
